Tolkien wrote his tales in a style that no one had seen before—he completely changed the fantasy genre. His stories have influenced many books, movies, and even video games.
Amazing detail
Containing new places, races, and languages, stories like The Lord of the Rings are full of incredible detail.
Tolkien’s fantasy stories are so in-depth and detailed that every reader can find different meanings and lessons in his words—there’s something for everyone!
Lessons from Tolkien
Let’s take a look at some of the things we can learn by reading Tolkien!
“Not all those who wander are lost.”
You might not have a clear path or goal in life, but that’s okay! Taking your time and having new experiences are just as important.
“All that is gold does not glitter.”
Not everything valuable shines like gold. Never judge someone or something negatively based on how they look—they might be very valuable.
“Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.”
In times of trouble, even if you’re afraid, you should always be loyal and stand by your friends.
“Deeds will not be less valiant because they are unpraised.”
Do a good deed because it’s the right thing to do. Don’t do something just because you want to be praised.

We’re glad you like it, Calin. 🙂
I like reading very much, but I don’t like fantasy so Tolkien is not much thing. It’s about me, he was a great writer and philologist. I have read his books and I think that they are well written and amazing but I don’t like them.
His style is not for everyone but he is definitely an author to be admired. 🙂
Everyone respect Tolkien, don’t you ?
Absolutely!
