Grammar
Imperatives
We use the imperative to give instructions, orders, and to make strong requests. We use the base infinitive of the verb, but without to.
The singular or plural you is always the subject of the imperative. We can imagine an invisible you placed before the verb:
Clean those dishes!
Do your homework.
Call Allen at ten o’clock.
Finish the job by Friday evening.
