Would
Would is the past tense of will. We use would to talk about the past, to talk about possibilities, to hypothesize, and also to be polite.
We use the structure subject + would + verb. We often use this structure with if (conditionals):
Liza would help you if you called her.
Tammy would marry James if he had the courage to ask her!
If I had more time, I would paint more.
Rick would pay you back if he borrowed money from you.
