Alanis Morissette released Ironic in February 1996 as the third single from her third studio album, Jagged Little Pill. The lyrics present several situations that are described as “ironic”, but this has led to debate, with many people saying that the situations she describes aren’t ironic at all. But perhaps that makes it even more ironic!

Just
- The adverb just is very common in English and has more than one use and meaning in English.
Just as a TIME EXPRESSION:
– I am just going to go home.
*As an adverb of time, it’s very commonly used with the present perfect and past perfect. In this case, we are talking about something that happened only a few minutes before the moment of speaking:
– I have just got home.
– They had just arrived when I left.
Just to give EMPHASIS to something:
– Just do your homework now. - -It’s a free ride that you just didn’t take.
Just as a synonym of the following words:
– SIMPLY: It’s just not right.
– ABSOLUTELY: The dinner was just perfect.
– ONLY: The tickets for the concert were just 10 dollars.
– EXACTLY: You look just like your mum.
It’s helpful to have the words so I can fill in the text without the music.
Very difficult for me !
