  • VERB+PREPOSITION:

  • listen to – “I listened to a CD.” (to hear)
  • look for – “Jennifer is looking for her lost T-shirt.” (to search)
  • look at – “Look at that plane!” (to focus)
  • VERB+ADVERB:

  • wake up – “We wake up at seven o’clock every morning.” (to awaken)
