Today we propose a fantastic song by one of the most influential singers of the 20th Century. Frank Sinatra was one of the best-selling music artists of all time, having sold more than 150 million records worldwide in life… but still selling strongly today, twenty-two years after his death in 1998.

That’s Life is a very optimistic song that is especially well suited to our current difficult times. Sinatra had a lot of ups and downs in his personal and professional life, and this song was a great example of his spirit and resilience. The phrase “that’s life” is often used to convey disappointment and resignation when faced with complications in life, but here Sinatra sees all the good things that life brings. So it reminds us all that even when life brings us down, we should do like Sinatra and “pick myself up and get back in the race.” Because the world keeps spinning around!
