-False friends:
Embarazada – pregnant - Embarrassed – Feeling ashamed or shy
-Constipado – to have a cold- Constipated – to have difficulty with bowel movements
-Possessive adjectives:
His and her are the same word in Spanish
-Do vs. Make – same word in Spanish
-How to say your age:
I am 21. (correct)
I have 21. (incorrect)
How to express agreement:
I agree. (correct)
I am agree. (incorrect)
B and V pronunciation – same sound in Spanish
Russian speakers
-Russian does not have definite and indefinite articles (a, an, the)
-No dental fricatives (three becomes free)
-Fewer vowel sounds in Russian (5-6)

-No singular or plural
-“Th” sound

As a native Spanish speaker I find so many pronunciation difficulties, some of them are the V and B pronunciation but also the correct use of prepositions and articles.
“Th” sound is most difficult for me – native Lithuanian speaker.
For me it’s very difficult to memorize phrasal verbs. Could you please add some lessons about them? Thanks 🙂
Hi teacher Robin! For me is difficult the use of gerunds or infinitives… As for as I know, it depends of the main verb before, but I always forget what I have to use in each case…
